1.Who we are
Upabhog is an online marketplace in Nepal. It lists local shops and lets you order from them for delivery or pickup. This policy covers the Upabhog website and the shop pages on it.
2.What we collect
- Your account: your name, e-mail address and mobile number, and your password, which is stored scrambled so nobody can read it. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, e-mail address and profile photo from Google.
- Where you shop: the area you choose, or your device's location if you allow it, so we can show shops near you. When you are signed in, we keep the last place you chose on your account.
- Your orders: what you ordered, from which shop, the prices, and the name, phone number, delivery address, map point and note you give at checkout.
- Saved addresses: the delivery addresses you choose to keep for a quicker checkout.
- Messages: what you and a shop write to each other about an order.
- Problem reports: what you write about a problem with an order, and the photos you attach.
- The AI assistant: what you write to it and its answers, if you use it.
- Technical details: your language choice, and the address and browser data that every visit sends, which we use to keep the site working and to stop abuse.
3.How we use it
- To show you shops and products near the place you chose.
- To place your orders and pass them to the shop that will prepare them.
- To send you e-mails about your orders and the codes you ask for when signing in or changing your account.
- To keep accounts safe and stop fraud, spam and misuse.
- To answer you when you write to us, and to fix and improve the site.
4.Who sees it
- The shop you order from sees your name, phone number, delivery address, map point and note, because it needs them to prepare and deliver your order.
- The shop sees a problem you report about its order, with your photos, and so does our team if the report is passed to us.
- Companies that run parts of the site for us: hosting, e-mail delivery, sign-in with Google, and the place search that turns the area you type into a point on the map. They may use your data only to do that work for us.
- Authorities, when Nepali law requires us to share it.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.
5.How long we keep it
- Your phone number, delivery address, map point and note are removed from an order as soon as the order ends (it is completed, cancelled or declined). Your name, the items and the totals stay, as the shop's record of the sale.
- Messages about an order are deleted after the conversation closes.
- What you write in a problem report, and its photos, are removed 90 days after the report is closed.
- Saved addresses stay until you remove them or delete your account.
- Your account stays until you delete it.
7.Your choices
- See and change your name, phone number, e-mail address and password on the My account page.
- Remove saved addresses at any time.
- Delete your account on the My account page. Your saved addresses go with it; shops keep their record of your past orders with the name on them, no longer linked to you.
- Write to [email protected] to ask what we keep about you, or to correct it.
8.Keeping it safe
The site uses encrypted connections, passwords are stored scrambled, and only the people who need it can see your data. No system is perfectly safe, so tell us at [email protected] if you think your account was used by someone else.
9.Children
Upabhog is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please use it with a parent or guardian.
10.Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update this page and its date. If a change matters to how we use your data, we will say so on the site before it applies.
