1.What Upabhog is
Upabhog is a marketplace. The shops on it are independent businesses that sell their own goods and set their own prices, stock, delivery areas and charges. Upabhog is not the seller of the items listed, and is not a party to the sale between you and a shop.
By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
2.Your account
- Give your real name and contact details, and keep them up to date.
- Keep your password and sign-in codes to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
- One account is for one person. A shop is run from its owner's account.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the Community Guidelines, or that is used for fraud.
3.Orders and prices
- Before you order, you see the price of each item, the delivery charge and the total. That total is what you pay.
- Placing an order asks the shop to sell to you. The shop accepts or declines it. Once it accepts, the sale is between you and the shop.
- You can cancel an order until the shop accepts it. At checkout you can also choose to have it cancelled automatically if the shop does not answer in time.
- A shop can cancel an order it accepted only with a reason, which you will see on the order.
4.Payment
You pay the shop in cash when the order is delivered or when you pick it up. Upabhog does not take card or online payments, and never asks you to pay in advance.
5.Delivery and pickup
Each shop chooses where it delivers and what it charges, and the site shows you whether it delivers to you before you order. Delivery times are the shop's estimate. For pickup, collect your order from the shop during its opening hours.
6.Returns, warranties and problems with an item
Returns, exchanges and warranties are handled by the shop, under its own policy and the consumer laws of Nepal. If something is wrong with an order, press Report a problem on its page within 7 days of delivery or pickup: the shop answers there, and if it does not, or you are not satisfied, the Upabhog team looks at it and says what it decided. For anything else, write to [email protected].
7.Rules for shops
- A shop is reviewed by us before customers can see it, and must give true details about the business, its address and its contacts.
- List only goods you have and may legally sell, with true photos, prices and stock.
- Answer orders in time, keep the orders you accept, and give a real reason when you cannot.
- Use a customer's name, phone number and address only to complete their order.
- Follow the Community Guidelines. We may remove listings, or pause or close a shop, that break them.
8.Using the site fairly
- Do not place fake orders, pretend to be someone else, or try to cheat a shop or a customer.
- Do not copy the site's content in bulk, or try to break, overload or get around its security.
- Do not post anything illegal, abusive or misleading.
9.Listings and content
Shops are responsible for what they list. Product details may come from a catalog shared by all shops. You keep the rights to what you write or upload, and you allow us to show it on the site for as long as it is there.
10.Our responsibility
We work to keep the site running and accurate, but cannot promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. We are not responsible for the goods, delivery or service of a shop beyond what the law of Nepal requires of a marketplace, and our responsibility is limited as far as that law allows.
11.Changes and the law
We may change these terms; the new terms apply from the date shown at the top of this page. These terms follow the laws of Nepal.
